Personality: very easy going, cheerful, confident, self controlled, but can be very angry and lethal when he wants to and needs to be, can be very caring but will not show this in front of the others.: Ezra comes across as a very greedy man always looking out for himself, but on numerous occasions Ezra has revealed a streak of kindness and compassion.

Ezra tends to be very reserved. Afraid to show is true feelings to the rest of the men.

Relationships with other women of Four Corners:

Drew: Knows that she is a bit wary of him so he doesn't bother her too much.. Is always friendly but doesn't let it go much further.

Rosalie: tolerates him but don't think much of him in the beginning start to like him slowly .

Shannon: Doesn't trust her much. Sees that she hangs around mostly with Vin and doesn't bother her. They nearly never talk.

Sandra Rose: Gets along with her wonderfully. He respects her and he knows never to press her to play cards. She is Much to smart to fall for that.

Lissa: She likes Ezra and wants to mother him also but he pushes her away.. Lissa thinks he spends too much time alone. She would like to see that change

Cilvia: Admires her dexterity with the cards and her humor. Always kids around with her and although she beats even his best tricks he still enjoys a good game of cards

Bay: At first she did not like the southerner because he was southern but now she has changed her mind. She feels it is her duty to teach him to look beyond a persons outside appearance and see the beauty inside.

Relationships with other six men:

Chris: Respects Chris's authority. Although he isn't particularly close to him they get along. Chris doesn't trust Ezra since, Ezra nearly ran out on him.

Buck: Get along well. They play cards regularly and seem to have a friendship. They are always joking around and hang around together.

Vin: Doesn't much trust him.

J.D. - Friends with him. They get along well and talk frequently.

Josiah - Gets along with him. They share a common past in they were both "savers of souls", only Ezra's was for his own self benefit. They talk often.

Nathan - still doesn't quite get along with Nathan. Nathan doesn't agree with many of the things that Ezra does and Ezra doesn't like to be confronted about it. Their personalities clash terribly.

Personal history: Shifted around from family to family while his mother was out on cons, learned the trade himself and once he was old enough he went out on his own and made a living from conning and gambling, always tried to keep away from his mother, never helped anyone but himself until he arrived in Four Corners. Ezra is a gambler and con man, or "cheater" as Nathan calls him, and he is pulling a scam on some men in the Four Corner's saloon when he meets up with Vin, Chris, Buck, and Nathan.

Ezra's past is very enigmatic, we are never even sure that Standish is his last name, just the one he gives. We do know he was raised by a series of aunts and uncles because his mother, Maude, only kept him when she needed assistance in a scam. In fact, his mother is the one who taught him to be a con man, in her words she was teaching him a "trade". We know at one point Ezra was incarcerated in Fort Laramie but he escaped and to prevent being sent back he agrees to help protect Four Corners in return for a pardon.
