Personal History: Nathaniel Jackson was born to Obadiah and Sarah Jackson, on a small plantation just outside of Atlanta in 1839. Nathan's family was a loving one, but when Nathan was seven, they were sold to different plantations in Alabama. Nathan and his father were the only two kept together, and Nathan was told that his mother stayed in Georgia where she later died. Nathan escaped to the North a year before the war started. He wound up in Pennsylvania, where a family there gave him a job. They taught him to read and write. When the Civil War started, he took the only job they would give him which was helping the surgeons in the field .During the war, Dr Anderson took Nathan under his wing and taught him what to do to help and how to heal. After the war was over, Nathan tried to find his family During those years, he met Josiah, worked with some Indian tribes and learned from them, and eventually wound up in Four Corners and is now one of the seven protectors. Recently Nathan found his father and learned the truth of his mother's death and his family's separation. His mother had been forced to their overseer's bed, She went insane and committed suicide when she found she was pregnant and that it might be her overseer's baby. The family was sold away after that. His father is now in Four Corners, and they are attempting to heal the open wounds of the past close friends known each other along - time before his father is taken by consumption.
