24V Lamp Power Supply FDL 60-90

Purpose: To prevent switching supply clock noise in the Video.
 

Status: Mandatory.

Circuit Card:  FD NG 9-002  and FD NG 9-003

Parts: One  RF choke ferrite bead   P/N F3-122901-050 or equivalent.

Description:

Turn power off.

Lower hinged center power unit in rear of FDL.  Remove cover.

Check the green-yellow wire running from power transformer to AC plug for a choke.   If missing:

Slide the AC power cover strip off the transformer.  Remove the green-yellow wire turn around choke three times. Reconnect to transform.

Slide the AC cover strip back on. Install metal cover and two swing lock screws.

 To keep the ground plane clean: The PE and TE, (Power earth and technical earth) must be tied together at the terminal lugs at the center rear of the Telecine.  Unless facility has separate power and technical ground system. For clean ground, a separate large ground wire should be run from the TE ground lug to house technical ground.
