Amy Sedaris is "Jerri Blank"

Amy Sedaris was born in New York and raised in North Carolina, Amy is an accomplished career waitress who happens to do a little acting on the side. Her current employment, Marion's, located in New York's famed Bowery district, had better be careful lest they lost her to that evil acting bug.
Sedaris first felt the tug of the stage when she moved from Raleigh, North Carolina to join her brother, David, in Chicago to pursue her dream of serving deep-dish pizza to tourists. While in Chicago, Amy took a few classes at the famed "Second City" and before she knew it was on their "Main Stage." It was while she was at "Second City" tht she met the men who now pose the greatest threat to her waitressing career, Stephen and Paul Dinello.

After her stint at "Second City" Sedaris moved to New York City where she teamed up with Colbert, Dinello and others to develop a half-hour sketch comedy for HBO Downtown Productions called "EXIT 57." The series, which ran for two seasons on Comedy Central, received five Cable Ace Awards nominations for best writing, performing and comedy series.
In addition to the many plays she and her brother write and produced, Sedaris has added Paul Rudnick's "The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told" to her ever expanding resume of her alternate career. This June, Amy and David will stage their 1997 critically acclaimed collaboration, "The Little Frieda Mysteries" in Seatlle.
Amy currently lives in New York City with her rabbit "Tattletail" and enjoys selling cupcakes and cheese balls in her neighborhood and at her performances.
Of course Amy Sedaris is currently playing Jerri Blank in the new hit comedy series "Strangers With Candy"
