THE FIREMAN
2. Palo Verde-(11:56)-starts as an extension of "Watercolor Guitars", but brings in the keyboard rythums and drums. Horses can be heard on a ride in the sticks, the faint voice of what appears to be a Mrs. Fireman describing the scene. And midway through, the Fireman himself sings a hauntingly prolific chant: "Let Me Love You...Always." (Note: Palo Verde contains the unreleased song "Let me love you always" recorded sometime in 1995.)
3. Auraveda-(12:51)-the longest track on the album, offers a nod to a former bandmate, with roughly-played sitars setting an Indian tone to the piece, a harmonium and backwords flutes helping to set back the clockl The track ends with a foreshadowing of "Bison" a later selection.
4. Fluid-(11:19)- begins with the relaxing sound of piano against the surf, with mindful questions of "What does the concept of time mean to you?" and "Have you ever had an out of body experience?" accompanied by a description of a visit by a UFO. A woman is heard having a ..."Sensual Experience" while light guitars play a pleasent riff.
5. Appletree Cinnabar Amber-(7:12)-kicks in with a hard rocking drive, with a drum sound not heard since the days of the Fireman's alter ego's first album, and a tone almost of a "Private eye theme of the decade before"
6. Bison-(2:40)-a bass drivin rocky jazz jam
7. 7 AM-(7:49)- with mellotronic strings passing back and forth and a random on-key sample background. Someone hammers as the Fireman sings an angry tune. "Don't step on the rest of us!"
8. Watercolour Rush-(1:45)-A digital coda of the opening track
