If you're going to visit my web site, you should know a little bit about me. After all, there are so many movie recommendations and opinions on this page, you should know where those opinions are coming from. I was born in 1967 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I fell in love with movies at the age of nine. After my high school graduation, I went to Penn State University for video production. While there, I took a number of film theory and history classes, as well as numerous screenwriting courses. They were some of my favorite classes. I spent alot of time watching American Movie Classics network as well. I learned alot about movies at PSU. But I learned even more after graduation, when I took a job at Blockbuster Video. I often tell people that I got a Bachelor of Arts degree in film history at Blockbuster University, because it really was an education. Free rentals, after all. Over time, my favorite films became the films of the 40's and 50's. My favorite director is Billy Wilder, my favorite actor is Jimmy Stewart. I also like the films of Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Joel and Ethan Coen, and John Huston. I don't particularly care for the films that make the most money. My favorite film of 1996 was Fargo. Now, I work at a Pittsburgh television station. I try to see at least one movie that I've never seen before each week. I hosted a public access television show about movies for a few months, but found that the World Wide Web was a better outlet for my passion for cinema.
