My Favorite Year

[Tim Curry]
Manhattan--.au format sound file 250k

Synopsis:

My Favorite Year is a musical comedy like those that were around in the 1950s.
It's about the golden age of live television and about the touching story of Benjy Stone,
a young writer who comes to grips with the loss of his father, and in doing so helps
his childhood hero, movie star Alan Swann, be reconciled with his lost daughter.
('borrowed' from the CD liner notes)

My Review:

It didn't make it this far west, sigh. The Tim-fans I've talked to who saw this show
loved it. Mr. Curry was gracious enough to sign autographs at the stage door. The CD
of the OCR is available at Best Buy and is well worth getting. Mr. Curry sings "Manhattan",
"If the World Were Like the Movies" and "Exits" as well as singing on several other group
songs.

The soundtrack for this show is still available at Best Buy or can be ordered by your favorite music store. It's well worth getting. Tim's songs are breathtaking-heartbreaking.
