(4 stars) Essentially a bigger-budgeted remake of the first
film, this sequel is nevertheless filled with belly laughs. Writer-
producer John Hughes does tend to get a bit maudlin in a few
scenes, but Macaulay Culkin's misadventures in the Big Apple,
after being more believably separated from his parents this time,
are more consistently entertaining than his first time.
Cute movie. Mr. Curry plays the hotel concierge who snoops on
the kid and gets slapped by the hysterical mother. He busy-bodies
about and smirks and fawns and generally looks as if he is having great
fun. The outake of him doing the cool-jerk is too cute. 1992
This movie was the second highest money-maker of 1992.
