March 12, 1999 at Nassau Coliseum

Well, I guess you could say that it started off like any other regular day. My friends , Nicole and Kendra were very excited about going to our first real length N Sync concert! And as a matter of fact, we almost didn't even get to go. Luckily, a girl at my school had 3 tickets that she had to get rid of b/c her friends that were supposed to go with her couldn't go. So when I heard that she had extra tickets, I jumped at the oppurtunity!!

So, you know, I guess you could say that we all went through our "N Sync pre-concert ritual", that is making sure we looked "decent" for the concert. LOL. I wore a baby blue 3/4 length shirt with black bell bottom pants. My friend Nicole wore a purple 3/4 length shirt with dark blue bell bottom jeans. And Kendra a blue 3/4 length shirt with flowers on them with dark blue bell bottom jeans too. (I guess you could say that we all like 3/4 length shirts!!) At this point we were ready to go to the concert!

I don't remember the exact time that we arrived at Nassau Coliseum, but I do know that we were early. When we got there, we were surprised thatour seats were floor seats! We were in like row 42, but we figured it was pretty good seats for last minute tickets....so we didn't complain! Tatyana Ali and B*witched were N Sync's opening acts. I'll admit, they were pretty good. The only thing that made me mad though was that EVERYBODY in front of us was standing up and that prevented us from seeing their faces very good. So, that resulted in us standing on our seats (which I DO NOT recommend you to do if you're next to one of your "crazy friends" that almost knocks you down TWO TIMES!!! LOL).

Well, after the opening acts performed, there was a brief intermission. And then SUDDENLY all the lights went out!!!! It was time for N Sync to come out!! Screams filled the whole coliseum...it was great!!! Then, we saw 5 figures all dressed in different neon colored suits with a helmet. It was off 'da hook! Then they broke out into a dance intro.

Now I'm going onto the part that made this one of the best nights of our lives! Like I said earlier, we kept on standing on the chairs (b/c we couldn't see) so the guards kept telling us to sit down. My seat was right near the isle, and then it was my friend Kendra, and then Nicole. We were, of course, screaming and dancing to the music while we were standing on the chairs. N Sync at this point was singing "Here We Go". Like usual, a guard had came up to me. I thought he was going to tell me to sit down like the other guards had told us before...BUT HE DID NOT SAY SUCH A THING!!! LOL

This man, one of N Sync's personal guards asked me a question that I will never forget for the rest of my life.........he said:

As we were making our way up to the stage where the magnificiant N Sync was (LOL), I ALMOST blew it for all of us!!! Yes, I know, that was dumb!! But I couldn't help it! You see, I was so excited that I started pushing my friend Kendra who was in front of me, and that caused her to push the guard! He wasn't like very angry, but he had stopped and turned around and was like "You're not going to act like this on stage are you?" And we were as obedient as little prep-school children....LOL. We said no of course.....LOL

FINALLY, we were at the side of the stage. To get on the side of the stage, we had to go up onto this little slippery ramp, the guard helped us up though. He was sooo cool! Well, at this point we were just standing on the side of the stage, waiting for our call to go out. We were so happy! We hugged the guard and told him thank you like 1 million times and I also hugged their wardrobe lady! One of N Sync's crew members (you've probably seen him on MTV before...he has long wavy brown hair and a goatie...I hugged him too...LOL) told us that when we got on stage we would sit on these steps that were on the center of the stage while N Sync sang to us. While we were waiting, the same guy gave us all breath mints! LOL I thought that was funny! But that was good, b/c we wouldn't want to have funky breath when we met N Sync!

After about five minutes, which seemed like eternity...guess who popped out of one of the side stage entrances??!!! IT WAS LANCE!!!!!!! AHHH! When he came out, I didn't even see him at first (it was a litle dark). Stupid me didn't even say a word to him! I guess I just went blank. And then guess who popped out after Lance??? It was Joey!!! He came about 2 minutes after Lance did. I was near the entrance that he had came through so he was practically right next to me!!! Boy was he sweating like a pig!! I actually talked to him for a tad bit. I told him how the concert introduction was phat! He said "Thanks". And then I asked him for a hug!! And you know what he said? He was like "I'm a little sweaty though." You should have seen me, I was like "I don't care!" and then I leaned in for a hug, he laughed a little! *sigh* He was so sweet! When I hugged him his sweat got on my arm!! That's how bad the boy was dripping wih sweat!

A thought that came to my mind was..."Where is Justin, JC, and Chris?" It just so happens that they were on the other side of the stage. :*( So I didn't get to meet them. I was sitting on the right side of the stage while Justin, JC, and Chris were on the left side with other girls. But of course I saw them, occasionally the guys would go on all the sides of the stage.

After the brief moment that I had with Joey, the crew told us we could now go on stage. So, Joey took my hand and led me on to the stage!

When we got on stage, it was amazing looking out into the crwod!! There was sooo many people! Then Joey led me to the steps where all the girls were supposed to sit while they sang to us. They sang to us "For the Girl Who Has Everything". And as you can tell, that song is probably the most significant one on the albumm to me. =) Joey sang to me. *sigh* And let me tell you, he was soooooo cute. He made eye contact with me during the whole time he danced. He also sat down next to me and sang to me right in my face!! Ahhh! You shoudl have seen me, I was bugging! And ummmm, well, the funny part about that was, ummmm, my hand kind of had a mind of it's own!!! LOL When he sat down next to me, grabbed his leg!!! Not hard or anything, but I did grab it, and he laughed at me! :-þ I couldn't help it! My friend Kendra sat down next to Lance, he sang to her too. :-) As for Nicole, she was in between two girls so she didn't get to sit next to any of the guys.

After it was over all over, the guard that picked us to go on stage said we had to go back to our seats. :*( I felt like such a fool because I didn't even get to take a picture while I was waiting to go on stage. But the crew people said that I couldn't take my camera with me on the stage. :( I only have these sweet memories for me to cherish forever. :-)
