Scene 1:

(Carol’s talking on the phone)
Carol: yes Martha I will call you later
(Just as Carol hangs up the phone Mike comes in)
(Carol sees Mike)
(Mike’s smiling)
Carol: Oh hi honey. Wow that Martha sure makes her phone calls long.
Anyway honey, how was your day?
Mike: Oh it was just great. You will never believe where we are going?
Carol: Where going somewhere?
Mike: Yes
(Mike’s screaming the kid’s names)
Mike: Greg, Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby, Cindy!
(All the kid's come down)
Greg: Yes Dad, you wanted us?
Mike: Yes. I have a big surprise for everyone and even you, Alice.
(Everyone’s now screaming at Mike, wanting to know where they’re going)
Mike: Where going to a brand new hotel.
(Greg asks impatiently)
Greg: In what country?
Mike: That's the most exciting part.
(All of them are screaming where)
Mike: Calm down. It’s only to Canada.
Everyone: Canada Wow!
(Bobby asks impatiently)
Bobby: Will we have to use Canadian money?
(Mike looks at him unsurprised.)
Mike: Yes Bobby we will have to. It’s a different country.

Scene 2:

(Mike is in the living room talking about the trip)
Mike: Now remember kids we are going next week so you have to get started packing.
Bobby: We're leaving so soon?
Mike: Yes this time it's for vacation, no business for me.

Scene 3:

(Girls’ room)
Cindy: Is Canada really that big?
Marcia: Oh Cindy, I guess you have never learned about Canada. Yes, all I can say it's huge.
Jan: You can say that again.
Marcia: I wonder what city we are going to in Canada for the hotel? I heard Toronto is nice.

Scene 4:

(The boys’ room)
Greg: I can't believe we're finally going on a vacation. It's about time.
Bobby: Yeah, the last time I remember going on vacation I was upstairs.
Peter: Upstairs? What's that suppose to mean?
Bobby: You know what I mean dumbhead.
(Greg opens his mouth before Peter could open his jaw again)
Greg: Bobby what are you packing?
Bobby: I don't know, why?
Greg: I'm aloud to wonder am I not, so just tell me.
Bobby: No, why should I?
Greg: Because if you don't...
Bobby: Because if I don't, what?
Greg: Just tell me. Will ya?
Bobby: No!
(So Bobby decides to throw a pillow at Greg for driving him crazy)
(Then Greg throw's the pillow back at Bobby)
(Then they keep on going. It's a fight.)

Scene 5:

(To the livingroom)

(Mike and Carol sitting on the couch)
Carol: I'm so happy were finally going to go on a vacation.
(Mike puts his hand across his mouth as he thinks he hears something)
(Carol now hears it to)
Carol: I think I hear the boys screaming.
Mike: I think we better check this out.

Scene 6:

(Boys' room)

(Mike and Carol enter)
(Mike sees there's a fight going on)
Mike: BOYS!
(Greg and Bobby continue fighting until they realize that Mike's in the room and screaming at them)
Bobby: Yes Dad?
Mike: What was going on in here?
(Before Greg opens his mouth so he can explain Bobby beats him
Mike: You go first (indicating to Bobby)
Bobby: Ok, this is what happened. I was starting to pack and then suddenly Greg asked what I was packing. I told him I didn't want to tell him, so he started to annoy me and I threw a pillow at him and then he threw one back and we went on. It's mainly Greg's fault
(Greg looks amazed)
Greg: My fault you started it.
(then a real physical fight started)
(Mike then really gets upset
Mike: Greg! Bobby!
Mike: Greg! Bobby!
Mike: Greg! Bobby!
Mike: "Forget the trip". (The boys suddenly stopped.)
Greg: What do you mean no trip?
Mike: You heard me, I said no trip.
Bobby: But that's not fair.
Mike: Well you have to learn a lesson.

Scene 7:

(Meanwhile the girls were listening to the whole fight etc.. and heard the bad news about not going)

Marcia: Well we just found out just before. O I'm not so upset
Cindy: Yeah we can manage without it
Jan: Your right we sure can but the poor boys.
Marcia: YEAH!

Scene 8:

(Back to the boys' room)

(Greg and Bobby are apologizing to each other and Peter starts to get upset)
Peter: You know you guys really messed this all up.
Bobby and Greg together: Well life goes on, but there is always an end to something.
