Into The Night

Video Synopsis

When two strangers stumble into international intrigue in the middle of a Los Angeles night, anything can happen ... and does, in this zany comedy thriller directed by John Landis. Ed Orkin (Jeff Goldblum) is an insomniac with a dull job and a cheating wife. His friend, Herb (Dan Aykroyd), tells him to fly off to Las Vegas for fun, so Ed dutifully heads to the airport. Diana (Michelle Pfeiffer) drops onto the hood of his car, followed closely by three gun-toting thugs. Now it's Ed's turn for some adventure and romance. Diana is an amateur jewel thief who has smuggled some rare emeralds out of Iran. The only person who can help her is an old lover named Jack Caper (Richard Farnsworth). She convinces Ed to join the game. After all, does he have anything better to do with his wide-eyed wee hours? By the time the pair reaches the dying Caper, they've fought off bloodthirsty millionaires, freaky freelance mobsters, the CIA, and other assorted heavies. There's a payoff to the madness, but it could be in death as well as dollars. One fact's for certain --- Ed will never have trouble sleeping again.

The outstanding cast of this fast-paced encounter includes David Bowie, Vera Miles, Dan Aykroyd, Irene Papas, Kathryn Harrold, Richard Farnsworth, "Body by Jake" Steinfeld, and a host of Hollywood's hottest directors in hilarious cameos. The pulsating original score by electric blues legend B. B. King is guaranteed to keep you awake. Spend a night on the town that you'll never live down.
