BW JAPAN

Beast Wars certainly is popular in Japan with a new cel-animation cartoon coming out, with toys too! These are some images I scanned in from the "TV Magazine", a Japanese mag for kids! Some of the images are quite big and may therefore take a while to load. While I get more pics, please enjoy these!

Note: if you wish to use any of these pictures, please e-mail me first. Thanx!

Note: These pictures were scanned from the TV Magazine
The below pics were taken from another version of TV Mag, which is more for kids, which I think is called "Terebi Kun". I donno, correct me if I'm wrong, thanks.

This book is basically like TV Mag. It covers the new Rescue Task Force GoGo 5, Bomberman, BW and some other cool stuff. Below are some pics of the BW Neo guys!

First up is the toy pic!!! Boy are these guys GREAT! I blew up the pic a little so it would be clearer! Click HERE! I have GOT to get my hands on some of these....

Next is a card-board figure of Big Convoy! This one isn't as complicated as the TV Mag one (or at least I think so), showing that it's targeted more at the kids. Here's one part of the cut out.

Last pic for now, It's a CG pic of the BW Neo characters!!! It's excellent! Click HERE to see it!!

That's all until i find more time with the scanner. Enjoy!

February
This issue introduces the new BW series, BW NEO! It promises to be good!

This issue shows the final battle of BW2, on the Artificial Planet, Nemesis! Click HERE to view the scene!

Here are pictures of the new BW Characters! Click HERE to view the Maximals, and HERE for the Predacons! These are drawings, and the Pred one has a silouette of what i think is Randy, and that does NOT look like Razorbeast. The odd recolorsof the BW2's are some 'special' collection.

In BW Neo, it's Mammals (Maximals) versus Prehistoric Animals (Predacons):

Maximals:
Big Convoy (Mammoth)
Longrack (Giraffe)
Corahda (Cobra)
Stampy (Rabbit)
Break (Penguin)
Rockbuster (Crab)
This COULD be Razorclaw
Randy (Boar)
Early reports say this is Razorbeast, but I'm seriously doubting it. Maybe a remold.
Heinlad (Raccoon)
They say it fills the role of Artemis and Moon in BW2.

Predacons:
Magmatron (3 combined Dinosaurs)
Guiledart (Triceratops)
Saberback (Stegosaurus)
Sling (Dimetrodon)
Dead End (Ammomite)
Hydrar (Pteranodon)
May be Lazorbeak
Crazybolt (Frilledneck Lizard)
Early reports said this was Iguanus, but it's not, as you would be able to see in the CG pics below.

Click HERE to view the Predacons' CG, and HERE to see the Maximals' CG. Note, there aren't CG's for the 2 leaders

That's about it, for now. I may update if I find more interesting pics in the issue. If you find out anything new about BW Neo, mail me!

January
This issue marks the first of the new year's issues, and included are more highlights from the movie... And a few New Year Cards.

This issue includes a small cut-out booklet, like the one on the BW2 series, about the movie, which includes pictures of the new Transmetals , and some other pics.

Here's a pic of the cover, click HERE to see it.

Here's a pic from the season 2 section of the movie, of the discovery of the Protoform X pod. Click HERE to see it!

Next are pics of Rampage in beast mode, and the Maximals and Blackarachnia(Apart from the first two eps, I haven't watched the season yet, therefore have no idea why she's helping them...) blasting away at Rampage.

And here's the New Year card of Convoy, Lioconvoy and Liojunior, which is "signed" by Lioconvoy..... Other cards include Ultraman Gaia, Ginga Rangers and Micro Man.

A rather big image of how Convoy and Lioconvoy get those 'flashy' colors (I think), namely red and gold respectively. Click HERE to see them and a big face of Majin Z(arak).

The next picture shows the destruction of Majin Z... Now we know what happens.... Click HERE to see it.

Given with the issue is a long card of a battle between the Cybertrons, the Destrons and Majin Z. The Convoy and Majin Z on the top of the picture a two of a few punch-outs, which are to be pasted on the scene and they "pop-out" to give it a 3D effect. Other punch-outs are Lio convoy and Galvatron. I couldn't scan in the rest of the pic, sorry....

They have released a box toy version of Magnaboss , where the three individual components can split and transform to beast mode. They are in a larger box than the Tripredacus box toy, so I take it that the components of Tripredacus can only merge, but not transform.

That's all for this issue, and have a Merry Christmas!

December
First up in this issue, is the cardboard punch-outs of Transmetal Optimus Primal and Megatron. They look queer, but detailed for cardboard figures. Primal has his flip over cannons, and Megs his tail cannon and back turbines. Click HERE to view them.

The first page of the BW2 section has a very nice picture, which looks very much different from the usual art. Anyhow, click HERE to see it.

This issue introduces the last two Cyborg Beasts, Dirge Gun and Thrustor.

First up is a picture of Lioconvoy keeping Dirge Gun and Thrustor away from a cannon manned by Apache and the Kid. Click HERE to see it.

Here's another picture of the Tako Tank shooting ink at HellScream, with Max B (previously thought to be Machspeed) watching. Click HERE to see the pic.

Next is the drawings of Dirge Gun and Thrustor, and the modes of Gigastorm. Click HERE to view it.

Here is the close up of the Beast modes of the Cyborg Beasts. Click HERE to see Dirge Gun's, and HERE to view Thrustor's Beast mode.

With the movie coming ever so soon, I figure this is the main bad guy for the show. He looks a mix between a creature and a robot. Click HERE to see him (or it).

There is a cool box toy of Tripredacus. It has the three indvidual components which can merge (transform I'm not too sure) to form the big guy. Click HERE to view them.

Last but not least is the toy pic of the four Cyborg Beasts, from Left: Hell Scream, Max B, Dirge Gun and Thrustor. Clcik HERE to see them.
