This was Visual Purple's first attempt at a movie. The original script contains 69 typed pages. Unfortunately due to budget and time constraints it was forced down to 7 typed pages. The story is quite insane. An example of a typical scene from the film:

Scene XII

-Near a pool. Trio walking and talking.

HIP
I think it’s best if we leave the state to think of a way to defeat the
GP.

XG
As much as I hate to say it, I agree with you.

PSY
I’m gonna strip off all of my clothes and swim completely nude in this
pool just to spite society! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

HIP
(clucking tongue)
Oh, no no no! That pool is filled with pure acid.

PSY
Really?

-PSY sticks hand in pool, pulls it out unharmed.

PSY
No it isn’t. Liar.

HIP
Well, don’t fall in. Ever notice how in every movie if there’s a pool then
somebody’s going to fall in? I mean, that doesn’t happen in real life.

-Shot of top part of PSY’s body. He is waving arms around like he is going to fall. He does. Several shots of him
and pool. He hits the ground.

PSY
Ow!

HIP
Let’s go. I have a van.

-NG runs in.

NEW GUY
Heck yeah! Let’s go!

-End scene

That was one of the countless unfilmed scenes written for the film. You'll notice the "New Guy" character who runs in towards the end. That part was written specifically for Visual Purple compadre Chip Garner. It was not included in the final cut of the film, though there have been attempts to revive the character for later VP projects, including the recent "The Stalk".

.FUN FACTS:
-Original number of planned squibs: 150. Final number of squibs: 4.
-The costumes in the tree scene are different from the rest of the movie because the tree scene was filmed first and not
  planned well.
-Glenn Shaheen was nearly killed by a falling tree during the tree scene.
-After Matthew St. John had the squib go off on him the entire crew from that day went to Taco Bell, covered in fake blood.
-Art Bedenbaugh was the original Pirate, but was then switched to first mate because Jordan Roberts looked taller, and finally
fell off of the project completely due to scheduling conflicts.
-Glenn Shaheen's basement was redone in a decor of fake blood after shooting the newsroom scene. To this day the blood
remains on the ceiling, although Glenn's family no longer lives in the house.
-Aaron Frazier was nearly blinded during the filming of the newsroom scene.
-Matthew Killian was nearly drowned during the filming of the scene at the lake.
-A real .45 howitzer was used as a prop during the Hippie's room scene.
-Jeremy Striebel suffered a minor concussion during the Hippie's first scene.
-Stephanie Tyson nearly blew Glenn Shaheen's engine when she started the van.
