Welcome to Julie's Music Page

Julie has recorded over 30 albums and they are all fantastic
I have most of them. I think the only 1 that I don't have (except the early British recordings and some of the "Best of " albums) is Tell it Again.

Here I'll Stay - The Words of Alan Jay Lerner

This is the most recent of Julie's albums (to my knowledge) It has also been released in Australia under the title of Julie Andrews Sings My Fair Lady, Brigadoon and Camelot. It's the same album even though there is a different title.
It includes 4 suites (Brigadoon Suite, Paint Your Wagon Suite, My Fair Lady Suite and Camelot Suite) as well as lot of other great songs from Alan Jay Lerner including "One More Walk Around the Garden" which is one of Julie's favourite songs and a fantastic version of "My Love is a Married Man" which I just think is great. The cover booklet also contains some great pictures of Julie in My Fair Lady. There is also a few pictures of Camelot which are good.

The Best of Julie Andrews - Thoroughly Modern Julie

This is a selection of a whole lot of Julie's work that she has done over the years. It is one of those "Best of" albums but it is really brilliant. It contains songs from some of her ealier albums such as The Lass with the Delicate Air and Julie Andrews Sings as well as the cast recordings of Camelot and My Fair Lady. Songs include

Victor/Victoria - Original Broadway Cast

This is the cast recording of the Broadway production of Victor/Victoria that opened in New York on 25 October, 1995. This recording also stars Tony Roberts as Toddy, Michael Nouri as King and Rachel York as Norma.
Some of the highlights of this album include The music was written by Henry Mancini and the lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and some additional music was written by Frank Wildhorn.

Broadway’s Fair Julie/
Heartrendering Ballads & Raucous Ditties
1995

This CD is a reissue of two of Julie’s earlier albums.

Broadway’s Fair Julie was originally released in 1961 and Don’t go in the Lion’s Cage Tonight was first released in 1962.

Both these albums have never been released separately on CD.

Broadway - The music of Richard Rodgers

This album was the first in Julie's Broadway collection. It features the music of Richard Rodgers with the lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II and Lorenz Hart. The recording starts off with "The sound of Music" which is so wonderful to hear Julie sing after all those years. She still does a great job of it!
Other songs on the album include In the middle of the album is "A Waltz Carousel". This medley of Rodgers and Hammerstein songs (with 1 song with the lyrics from Steven Sondheim) goes for almost 15 minutes and it contains some of Julie's all time great vocal moments in which we hear notes from her that we haven't heard since her days on Broadway. This is one of Julie's best albums and a video of the making of the album is also available.

Putting It Together 1993

This is the cast recording of the Sondheim show that Julie starred in. It was an Off-Broadway show at the Manhattan Theatre Club and also starred Rachel York, Stephen Collins, Christopher Durang and Michael Rupert. Some of the songs sung by Julie are

The King and I 1992

This recording of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical also stars Ben Kingsley, Lea Salonga, Peabo Bryson and Marilyn Horne with special guest appearances from Roger Moore and Martin Sheen. John Mauceri conducted the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and was nominated for a Grammy Award. Some of the songs sung by Julie are
