Underworld
Beaucoup fish
Underworld´s latest album was higly anticipated, due to Trainspotting´s popularization of song Born Slippy. Actually it wasnt really Trainspotting soudtrack itself, but Irvine Welsh, the British writer, who wrote both Trainspotting and Acid House novels, wich present the life of people that go to clubs on a daily basis and listen to electronic music. Since Welsh´s stories got a massive amount of attention all over the world, so did the music in it. Underworld quickly became extremely popular and many people were waiting what they´re gonna come up with next. Underworld locked themselves inside the studio and started to work on their next album. Thats the evolution of Beacoup Fish. The result is very pleasing - ten high quality songs, four famous singles ( Moaner, Push Upstairs, Jumbo, King of snake), great commercial and ctritical success. Great composition, interesting vocals (well...you dont hear any voice often, but when you do, it is kinda interesting voice) and some very strong rythmns (Push Upstairs, King of snake, Moaner, Kittens) make Beaucoup fish one of this summer´s four electronic sensations, the other three being brand new Chemical Brothers´ album Surrender (with smash hits like Hey Boy, hey girl or Let forever be), Moby´s Play (well....theres lots of hits on that one...for example Honey or Bodyrock) and Orbital´s Middle of nowhere (with awesome piece Nothing left). Underworld´s Beaucoup fish is a must buy for anyone who likes smart techno.
