A brand new day

Hoooray. New Sting album is here and its even better then I´ve expected. After the slightly disappointing Mercury Falling Sting came up with one of his best albums ever. As usually A brand new day features some top notch artist, for example Stevie Wonder on harmonica (Brand new day) and Cheb Mami´s rai (Desert rose). This time youre gonna have a hard time deciding what music genre Sting fits in. The song Fill her up is half country, half gospel, Desert rose is very ethnic. You can even hear french rap in Perfect love..gone wrong !! Many artists would turn out flat with such variety of music genres, but Sting certainly does not. He even uses some electronic rythms on few songs and it sounds just perfect. You can also expect very good lyrics, but as I said before, this normal, when Sting is the issue. Even though A brand new day is rather short (it runs about 45 mins), its packed with awesome tunes. Albums of such an exeptional quality are very rare, so this is a must buy. I´d say, that Sting´s A brand new day is so far this year´s best album (however I havent heard the new NIN ... The Fragile)
