Story:

Allen Quimp is a high school teacher with the adorable habit of correcting people's grammar. His wife Daisy is constantly complaining that he makes too little money because she can't buy herself the (expensive) stuff she wants to have. After Daisy's father threatened him to back over him with his car, Allen "reveals" that he is an under-cover agent of the CIA. After Allen helps a Russian dancer to defect a  real CIA agent shows up after he heard that Quimp was imposting as a CIA agent. The head of the CIA decides to hire Allen Quimp and send him to Cuba "because nothing ever happens there". During his stay in Cuba the revolution starts which leads to hilarious situations. And to make things even more complicated for Allen, his wife Daisy comes over to add to the confusion.
Birgitte S.C.'s opinion:

Although Company Man was received just as bad as Deal of the Century in the 80s, I don't find it a bad movie. I don't who reviewed the movie, but that person just doesn't have a sense of humour (or my sense of humour is just plain bizarre, which explains why I liked The Avengers, which was also slained by the critics). Anyway, I really enjoyed watching the film and as mostly is the case, the plot is too complicated and rediculous to explain here: you just have to see it.

The cast is of course superb with a hilarious Woody Allen as a neurotic CIA agent, John Turturro as a freakish freedom fighter, Douglas Wrath as the nerdy grammar teacher and Fed-wannabe, and last but not least Sigourney Weaver as the bored, snobby house wife with writing aspirations.

If you like Woody Allen movies and parodies on famous people (like Marilyn Monroe, General Batista and Fidel Castro), this is the movie to see!
RATING: 9 OUT OF 10
Favourite scenes:

- Daisy's father in the weird SM-ish "club" (which has to resemble the    Rotary Club if you ask me)
- Allen Quimp helping the Russian danser ("Jumper") defect in a car with    a student driver at the wheel
- Quimp unmasking the mole by correcting his grammar all the time
- Quimp and Lowhter confusing an angry mob demonstrating against Batista    with a happy crowd celebrating in the streets and building bonfires
Favourite quotes:

"Daisy, say about me what you want, but leave the comma out of this!"
Allen and Daisy are having a little argument

Daisy: "My huband works for the.... (whispers) CIA"
Rudolf Petrov: "What?"
Whole crowd in the room: "THE CIA!!"
It now turns out Diasy told the whole world that her husband works for the CIA (which he didn't)

"You don't think I'm serious?! You want me to cut my arm?!"
Crocker Johnson wants to hurt himself to prove he's not kidding about wanting to get rid of Castro.

"Whoa! There's a mongoose in my shorts!!"
Allen Quimp tripping on the LSD that was meant for Fidel Castro

"If he sees a mongoose in his shorts, he's really hallucinating..."
Daisy's reaction
