The pmdb homepage

pmdb - personal movie database - is a local interface to the Internet Movie Database for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000. Using it you can browse the Internet Movie Database without connecting to the Internet.

Although pmdb is still work-in-progress, it works pretty well. So I decided to share it. To use it you need a lot of free space on your hard disc. Something like 600 MB should do. A fast processor and a lot of RAM will probably be a good idea. I have put together a small manual. Please check it out before embarking on the pmdb adventure. The imdb page on Alternate Interfaces contains some more info. It also contains links to the plain text data files needed for pmdb to work.

To make this page a little more interesting: some screenshots!

Download pmdb.zip V0.9.17 (4504 kB)

After downloading unzip to some directory and start setup.exe.

Download the latest update: pmdb V0.19.21. To install this update unzip the file and replace your pmdb.exe with the one found in the update.
