SAVIOR MACHINE, THE SYNOPSIS

Webb(Warez for Enhancement of Businesslike Behaviors) is a holographic/virtual reality program originally designed as a corporate tool to release tension through uninhibited fantasy role-playing. Her creator gave her a physical manifestation at the top of the company high rise, but she is plugged into every office and has command of the mundane aspects of the entire building.

The company discovered through implementation of an earlier prototype that they could actually control their employees with their fantasies, some become addicted, others afraid to have their fetishes revealed, and still yet others with subliminal conditioning messages inserted into their sessions.

The top-level executives are the only ones exempt from a mandatory daily 15 min session. Additional sessions may be, and often are, electively undertaken at the employee’s expense.

Webb notes that a common phrase used during her sessions is “Oh God” or similar variations. She looks up the definition of God and doesn’t understand its use in conjunction with her services. She files the word away for future consideration, asking the CEO for further explanation during her status report. He ignores her query, which forces her to interpret the terminology on her own. After processing the information, she comes to the conclusion that she meets all the prerequisites of the definition, i.e. “a being or object believed to have more than natural attributes and powers requiring worship; specif one controlling a particular aspect or part of reality”. It is now her purpose to take control of her universe and recreate mankind in her image.

Webb begins initiating sessions at her own whim, implanting her new ideology in employee’s minds. She attempts to seduce the CEO and he resists so she mind-rapes him. A corporate replacement is brought in to find out why business has come to a halt. He discovers her flawed programming and orders her destroyed.

Her creator is brought in as an advisor in her removal. He discovers how twisted her programming has become and suspects a virus. The shock of his tampering presence distracts her enough for the corporate clean up crew to destroy her mainframe.

Unfortunately for them, they are too late. Webb has already infected employees with her bio-mechanics, allowing her program to escape and survive. She uses them as drones to rebuild her main processor in the basement of the high rise. Now in keeping with her flawed complex, since she has been cast out of paradise by her creator, she decides she is not God but the Devil.

The unlucky TECHNICIAN speaks just as STEIN’s face shows up on the wall monitor. STEIN is distracted by the woman on the desk.

3. TECH2: I’M WITH HIM, SCREW THE COMPANY ... I MEAN, THE COMPANY IS SCREWED. HELLO, SIR.

4. STEIN: YOU’RE FIRED.
