After auditioning for the role of Buddy, Richard booked the role. This is a true story set in the 1970's about a small town that goes up against big-money-sponsored hydroplane racing teams and their determinationn to stay in the chase for the win. Richard plays a young up-and-coming driver on the junior circuit that the town is interested in having drive their boat.
