Recap: Lucky and Liz realized that they were crazy in love with each other, and they were trying to make up for all the lost time.
The days passed by so quickly when people were in love. There was never enough time in the world for Lucky and Liz even though they had spent every moment they could with each other. While Christmas time was coming near, Lucky and Liz had been a couple for nearly two months now. Nothing else in the world had mattered to them except each other. They were out of school for Christmas, Lucky had been hanging around Liz's house even more. Just as this moment, they were on the couch finishing watching a movie. Liz had her head on a pillow on Lucky's lap. Lucky was gently stoking her hair and her face.
Liz: Do you think she regret letting him leave?
Lucky: Knowing what she knows now? I am sure she does. She would have treasured every moment with him had she known that once he left, he was going to die in the plane crash.
Liz: No, she would never had let him just walk out like that if she knew...... She would never have cared if they were ever married or not. She would have just grab onto every minute they could be together, and not worry about anything else...
Lucky: You don't think she should leave just because he couldn't give her what she wanted?
Liz: You mean what he couldn't give her YET? Marriage? No. I don't think she should leave for that if they loved each other so much. And it's not like they were each married to other people. Why shouldn't they be together? Life is too short.
Lucky: Well, Elizabeth, you surprised me. I thought all girls...pardon me, all women wanted to marry the guy they love.
Liz: Of course we do. But I'd take any minute of my life with him and not married over any year of my life without him and married in a heartbeat!
Lucky: You think she would have married anyone she doesn't love?
Liz: No, I don't think she would. Which is exactly why it was so stupid of her to let him go in the first place!!
Lucky: Elizabeth, I can promise you that I will never let you go.
Liz sat up at that command, smiled at Lucky, and kissed him gently on the lips.
Liz: Neither would I. Neither would I, Lucky.
The front door opened at this moment, and Audrey walked in the door. She saw Lucky, her gaze drifted to the clock on the back wall.
Audrey: Lucky, isn't it a little late for you to be out?
Lucky: Mrs. Hardy. ( he stood up) We were just finishing watching a movie. I will be on my way out soon.
Audrey: All right. Elizabeth, I will be up to say good night in a little bit.
Liz: OK, Gram.
Audrey walked into the kitchen leaving Lucky and Liz alone in the living room.
Lucky: I should go now. I don't want to over stay my welcome.
Liz: Lucky, you know you are always welcome here. Gram is just a little tired form work that's all.
Lucky: Yeah, but I should go anyway. It is late.
They walked over to the front door with their arms around each other. Lucky opened the door and walked out. He turned around and took Liz's face in his hands and kissed her.
Lucky: Sweet dreams. I'll call you tomorrow.
Liz: Not if I call you first.
They both laughed. They kissed once again. Lingered on and didn't want to let go. Lucky finally pulled away, smiled at Liz, and disappeared into the darkness. Liz stood at the door way and stared after him, and closed the door. She turned to start up stairs, and Audrey came in from the kitchen.
Audrey: Did Lucky go home?
Liz: Yeah, he just left. Gram, I am sorry but I just thought since school is out, it would be all right for Lucky to stay a little later.
Audrey: I know. It's all right. I ...... trust you. But I just don't want his parents to get worried.
Liz: Gram, they know Lucky is here. Besides, Luke and Laura knows Lucky can take care of himself.
Audrey: I supposed so. Elizabeth, I am glad he left though. There is something I need to discuss with you.
Liz: OK, I am all yours now. What is it, Gram?
Audrey: Let's sit down.
Audrey sat down on the couch, and patted the seat beside her. Liz walked over to her and sat down.
Liz: OK, gram, break it to me.
Audrey: Elizabeth, you know I have been considering retirement.
Liz: Yes?
Audrey: Well, I have decided to take some time off. I am not sure if I am retiring or just taking a year off. But one way or the other, I am taking a break.
Liz: Well, Gram. That's great! After working 30 years, I'd say it's about time you take a real break!
Audrey: I'm glad you think so. Elizabeth, you know your parents have decided to stay in London for a while?
Liz: Yeah, Sarah wrote me about it. She was so excited.
Audrey: Anyway..... they have invited me to go visit London, for an indefinite period of time. They said they could find a nice place for me even if I don't want to cram with them, and I have decided that's what I am going to do.
Liz: Oh, Gram! That sounds like a wonderful idea! You are going to have so much fun there! I bet Sarah just can't wait to show you around London!
Audrey: Elizabeth, you do realize you are coming with me?
Liz: ( shocked ) ME?? Go to London with you?
Audrey: Elizabeth, we can't just leave you here by yourself. And your parents haven't seen you forever!
Liz: I can't leave here! I'll go visit them once a while...but I can't leave Port Charles!
Audrey: I was afraid you'd say that.....It's Lucky isn't it? He's the reason you don't want to leave Port Charles.
Liz: Well, yeah. Gram, you of all people should know how much Lucky means to me. I am happy with Lucky, I am happy here! I can't leave!
Audrey: Elizabeth, I know how much Lucky means to you. I am very grateful for everything he's done for you....but you are young, you should be with your family right now....You should be able to be happy without seeing Lucky every single day.
Liz: Gram! If I move to London, I won't be able to see Lucky at all!
Audrey: Elizabeth, we didn't say you couldn't come back here and visit. Lucky could come to London and visit you if he like.
Liz: Gram, you know very well that's not the same!! I am not leaving Port Charles!
Audrey: Elizabeth, it really isn't a good idea for you to be so attach to a guy at your age.....
Liz: He is not A GUY! He is Lucky! I guess you really don't understand how much he means to me. I am not leaving him here no matter what you say. And that is that!!
Liz ran up stairs before Audrey could say another word. She watched Liz go, and slowly shook her head.
Audrey: I should've seen that one coming....maybe if she sleep on it for a night, she will think a little differently.
Liz ran into her room, and slammed the door. She sat down hard on the bed and started looking around her room.
Liz: No, I am not leaving Port Charles! Not unless Lucky is coming with me!
She sat silently for a second, walked over to the window, opened it, and climbed out. The night enveloped her quickly.
Lucky was getting ready to pull the cover over him when he heard the rock on the window. He got up, looked down from the window, saw that Liz was waving at him franticly. He grabbed his pants, hastily put it on and ran downstairs to open the door for Liz. Liz ran straight into his arms and buried her face in his chest.
Liz: I am not leaving!! I don't care what they are going to say. I won't leave you!!
