Recap: Lucky, Liz and Nolan found themselves trapped in a house in the middle of a desert by Sabrina's sister Sophia. In the mean time, Nikolas is on the right track to find them.
AT the house in the desert...................
Lucky: ( slams the door ) What kind of Nuts build a house in the middle of a desert? Did you dad build the house just because he can??
Liz: Sophia, are you sure there is no way we can contact anyone?
Sophia: Like I said, the phone lines are cut off, the helicopter won't be back for another 3 days, and I gave them orders not to disturb us.
Lucky: I am not going to wait 3 days just so you have more people here to kidnap us again....( starts toward the back of the house) There's gotta be a map here somewhere, I want to know where we are. I have gone through a desert before, I can do it again!
Nolan: You have gone through a desert before? How's that?
Lucky: It was awhile back...... my parents and I have been through everything you can think of, and some that you will never dreamed of.
Liz: ( laughs a little ) Lucky could write a book----a big book on the adventures he has been through if he wants to.....this would be the latest chapter.
Sophia: There is no way you can walk out of the desert! You'll die!!
Lucky: Then we would be saving you some trouble, wouldn't we? Isn't that what you wanted? To see us dead?
Sophia: I won't SEE it if you died in the desert!
Lucky: ( finds a map ) AH HA! ( turns to Sophia ) by the way, you are coming with us. I am not going to leave you here so you could get those two guys or more people coming after us.( starts to look over the map)
Liz: Lucky, don't you think that's a little....mean? She doesn't have to come with us, does she? There are people coming back here to get her in a few days....
Lucky: Elizabeth, we can't risk the chance of them coming after us again. I know this sounds mean.... But I won't let them get their hands on you again.
Sophia: You will never get out of the desert alive!! DO you hear me??
Lucky: That's what you think. OK, we are about 2 days from a high way, 3 days from a town. ( looks at Sophia) You, you need to change your clothes. Wear something easy to move in. (to Nolan) Go to the kitchen and get some water, and dry crackers. We can't take too much because we have to move fast. Just get enough for everyone for 3 days. ( to Liz) Elizabeth, you come with me. We are going to make sure those two guys are not going anywhere for the next few days.
At Steve Mitchell's home............
(Mitchell in front of his desk, looks over some papers, looks up when he hears some commotion outside of his office, Nikolas bursts through the door while two guys try to get to him..............)
Nik: Mitchell, I am Nikolas Cassadine, and I need you to tell me where Lucky Spencer is!
Steven: What the hell do you think you are doing.....Cassadine? Are you one of THE Cassadine?
Nik: That's right. You better tell me where Lucky Spencer is. Right now.
Steven: I have no idea who you are talking about! Why are you looking for someone who is not even a Cassadine? And in MY house at that?
Nik: You could say that Lucky Spencer is like a brother to me. That's all you need to know. Where is he?
Steven: I don't.....( one of the two men walks over to him, whispers something in his ear) I see....... I guess we do know where he is......
Nik: WHERE??
Steven: I'll have the helicopter ready, we'll take you there.
Somewhere in the desert......................
Sophia: ( stops walking ) I can't walk any more, I need a break!
Lucky: ( looks at the map ) All right....we should rest now, and walk during the night anyway.
Liz: Lucky, you need to drink some water, you haven't had any since we left the house.
Lucky: I am OK, you go ahead.
( everyone else takes a drink of the water, they all sit down, Sophia sits away from them, Nolan looks at her, walks over, sits down by her)
Nolan: Why did yo do this?
Sophia: Do what?
Nolan: Kidnapped us. Why did you do it?
Sophia: ( turns her head away ) You know why. I told you. I want you to pay for what you did to Sabrina!
Nolan: Sophia, you and I both know that's not the real reason you took us. ( Looks over to Lucky and Liz) I think perhaps even Lucky and Liz know by now that's not the reason.
Sophia: What does it matter? We are all gonna die now!!
Nolan: Then it's even more important for you to be honest...if not to us, then to yourself.
Sophia:( silent for a moment ) You knew she was his favorite, didn't you? He has always favored her. I was always the other daughter. ( starts to sob) When she died.....I was sad, but I can't help to think that....that...maybe now he will notice me. Maybe he will see that I am just as wonderful as Sabrina....But, NO! All he could do was.....think about her.....it has been even worse than when she was alive! ( stops for a moment) I wanted to let him know that I did something to avenge her....I wanted him to thank me...I wanted him to know that I am still alive!! ( Turns to Nolan, sobs) I am sorry....I am so sorry I did this to you.....I just....I just......( turns away, cries )
Nolan: ( starts to cry, pulls Sophia over ) It's all right.....It's all right.....we are gonna be all right.....
(Lucky and Liz watch Nolan and Sophia from a few feet away)
Lucky: Looks like they are not gonna kill each other.
Liz: ( looks at Nolan and Sophia ) No...they are not....( looks at Lucky) Somehow, I think you knew this was gonna happen. That's why you insisted on bringing Sophia with us, isn't it?
Lucky: ( a slight grin ) How would I know they are gonna make up?
Liz: ( lifts her brows ) Lucky! We could have tied her down and left her in that house like we did to the other guys. Don't think I haven't thought of that!
Lucky: ( smiles ) You read me like an open book, don't you? I am not sure how I feel about that.....but, yeah, I kind of hoped this would happen. ( silent for a moment) You remember after your rape, you wanted to talk to someone who knew exactly what you were going through, so you went to talk to my mom?
Liz: How could I forget.....you were so mad at me for that....but she did help me....( looks at Lucky) That's what you were trying to do? Get the two of them to talk to each other because they knew what the other is going through?
Lucky: They were both important to Sabrina....and I suspect vise versa. Couldn't hurt to talk to each other, could they?
Liz: ( Touches Lucky's face, smiles, kisses him tenderly on the lips ) Lucky Spencer, You are the most wonderful man I have ever known.
Lucky: ( smiles ) Why, thank you....but....you don't get out too much, do you?
( Lucky and Liz laugh lightly, Nolan and Sophia keep talking to each other........)
AT the house in the desert...................
(Nikolas and Steven Mitchell go into the house with two other men, they can't find Lucky, Liz, Nolan or Sophia............)
Steven: Damn it!! They took Sophia with them! If anything happens to Sophia, you and that Spencer are gonna pay!!
Nik: If anything happens to Lucky, you won't be able to worry about what happens to Sophia!! Where could they go?
Steven: I don't know! But apparently your brother was crazy enough to take all of them out into the desert! What kind of a crazy do you have for a brother???
Nik: ( walks out of the door towards the helicopter ) A very confident one. ( looks at Steven) Speaking of crazy people, what kind of a nuts would build a house in the middle of the desert?
( they all go on the helicopter, the helicopter takes off................)
(Lucky, Liz, Nolan and Sophia walk in the desert, Lucky looks pale, all of a sudden he collapses...............)
Liz: Lucky!! ( panics) Lucky! Are you all right? ( she kneels down beside him, puts his head on her lap )
Nolan: ( hurries over ) What happened? Lucky, what is wrong?
Lucky: ( a weak smile ) Nothing.....nothing a few kisses from Liz wouldn't fix......
Liz: ( tears down her cheeks ) Damn it, Lucky Spencer! Don't you dare joke at a time like this! What is wrong with you!! Tell me how you are feeling!! What can I do?
Lucky: I am all right, I just need a minute.......
(Sound of the helicopter, it lands several feet away, Nik and Steven get out, they start running towards them..............)
Sophia: Oh, My god! ( starts to run) It's my dad! It's my dad!
Liz: ( looks over to the direction of the helicopter ) Lucky.....Lucky....I think it's Nikolas!
Lucky: Elizabeth, you are hallucinating.....
(Sophia and her dad hug each other, Nik finally comes to Lucky and Liz)
Nik: Liz! Lucky! ( kneels down beside Lucky) What's wrong with you?
Liz: I don't know...he just collapsed all of a sudden!! Thank god you are here!
Nik: ( checks Lucky's pulse ) Has he been drinking enough water since you've been out here?
Liz: NO, he hasn't! He insisted we drink but not him!
Nik: That's it then, he's dehydrated. ( takes out the water bottle) Here, drink this. Why do you Spencers always have to be the hero!! Drink all of it!
Lucky: ( drinks the water ) Dam....damn it...Cassadine....why you!
Nik: What the hell are you talking about!
Lucky: Now....Now I would really have to be friendly to you.........
Nik: ( holds Lucky's hand ) Just shut up and drink the water, Spencer, you've caused me enough trouble already.
A week later, at the Spencer house....................
(Lucky sits down in the living room couch, Liz walks from the kitchen with a tray of food...........)
Lucky: ( stares at the tray of food ) Elizabeth, there's no army here.
Liz: ( sits the tray down in front of Lucky ) Lucky, you are the army. You are eating every single bite of this, and I am not letting you up until you do.
Lucky: (winces ) Elizabeth, I am OK. We've been home for a week now, I am OK! You don't have to take care of me like this any more.
Liz: So humor me.
Lucky: Elizabeth............
Liz: ( leans over to kiss Lucky ) Lucky, you really scared me when I saw you collapsed in that desert. All I could think of was I want to go with you if you died......
Lucky: ( picks up the fork, starts to eat ) You always know where to hit don't you?
Liz:( smiles a little ) Lucky, I mean it. I don't know what I would have done if Nikolas hadn't gotten there........he was very worried about you too.
Lucky: ( silent for a moment ) I know.....damn him, now I have no excuse.
Liz: ( holds Lucky's hand ) But now you have a brother.
Lucky: Who said I wanted one!
Liz: (chuckles ) Lucky, you are stubborn.
Lucky: Yeah, yeah, yeah......I guess, I can give it a try....I guess it could be all right to have a brother....( looks at the tray of food) At least I can be sure he won't try to stuff me like I am a pig waiting to be slaughtered.
Liz: ( laughs ) See, there is one advantage you can see already.....Oh, and Lucky, Sophia and her father talked things over....I think they are gonna be all right.
Lucky: Glad to hear it. What about your friend?
Liz: Oh, so he is still just MY friend, huh? Well, Nolan is trying to get on with his life. Actually, I think he is hanging around the Quartermane's lately....Emily's doing a good job of showing him Port Charles.
Lucky: Emily? Hasn't he had enough from those rich people yet? Look what happened last time he dated a rich guy's daughter.....besides, I thought you said Emily likes Nikolas.
Liz: ( laughs ) Well, well. Sticking up for your brother already, huh? Actually, ( smiles at Lucky) Honey, a girl can never have too many interesting men to choose from.
Lucky: ( lifts his brows ) Excuse me? Are you trying to tell me something?
Liz: ( laughs ) Lucky, you don't have to worry about a thing......one of you is more than I can handle. ( kisses him)
Lucky: Thanks....I think.....
Liz: So....Lucky, can I ask you something?
Lucky: Sure thing.
Liz: Why didn't you drink any of those water? Why did you insist that we drink them?
Lucky: Well, because I wasn't sure if 3 days would be enough to get us where we wanted to go, and I wanted to save the water for you guys.
Liz: That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard....we wouldn't get anywhere without you......but...( she leans over slowly) that was also very heroic of you, Lucky Spencer, and I think you deserve a reward....................
Lucky: ( grins, leans over toward Liz ) Well, I think I do....what do you have in mind?
Liz: How about a date to the Valentine's dance next year?
Lucky: ( grins ) AND?
Liz: ( grins, leans closer to Lucky ) And.....this.....( kisses him )
( And they kiss...and kiss....Lucky drops the fork on the floor, and pulls Liz closer to him, they just sit there, and kiss........................................)
