Sealed with a Kiss
by Lucinda
Darkness
surrounded by the depths of time
tangled by the lies of lust's lost love
forsawn passion, uncontrollable greed
an innocent heart, a deadly deed
Sensuous sighs turned to screams
struggles and fights, cries to be free
a teasing beginning, a tortured end
just another leathal game, sealed with a kiss

Not So Easy
by Lucinda
Are simple things so
they
make the easiness show?
Why so
simple, easy things are
that
complexity must appear bizzare?
Yet
death knocks at doors
or
these simple, easy chores
Adding
to life's charm
these
things, yet so much harm
Just
in and out
with
up and down
life's
face struggles
to
control its frown
Too
late, pace is slowing
struggles
more
pain
is showing
No in
and out
No up
and down
lifes
face -
no
more frown
time's
keeper -
endless
slumber

Long, Dream, Wonder
by Lucinda
Long, dream, wonder
so simple, so complex
How can one survive
without this love?
Will one live
if one is plucked
- one less petal of life
to fall to eternity's ground?
But how can onelong such things?
dream such things?
wonder such things?
must, would this sin
consume one?
obliterate one?
deny one's love, faith, hope
surely these things
a tempest would offer
acceptance - a damnation
but is true love its relation?
Long, dream, wonder
so simple, so complex.

Eternal Night
by Lucinda
Clowns weeping
souls creeping
longing
longing
longing for eternal night to fall
crying for tears of untold sorrows
lying there, longing there, lonely there
rocking
rocking
rocking like a new born's christened crib
wanting a new born's innocent eyes
but always will it of happened
always will the tears be tortured by the unheard thought
salways will the loneliness linger laughter of betrayal
always will the longing invoke eternal night

Cheer Up
by Lucinda
why are you so sad
in your misery
why must you always
put yourself down
why can't you see
that people care about you
and they're getting tired of
seeing that big ol' frown
I know life is hard
I'm living it myself
And even though we may be
world's apart
I just want to let you know
that I care when you've got
a broken heart
I just want to see you
cheered up
with a smile on
your face
I don't want you to feel that
you don't belong
in this place
so don't feel so blue
be glad you are you
you're not a nobody
and you're more than a somebody
so just turn that frown
upside down

Lust vs Love
by Lucinda
In a place like this
In a land so vast
I could not believe
I could not last
Without your love
Without your trust
I cannot believe
It was only lust
So why must you be
Such a prick to me
Saying you love
Saying you care
Sayoing what we've got
Is something rare
Something to cherish
Not to let perish
But then I saw you
For who that you are
And I realised you weren't
Some glamorous star
I saw your true colours
And all your lovers
And it occured to me
your not my fantasy
I rang your phone number
This morning at eight
Some skank answered
Your latest date
But you said we were special
A one-of-a-kind
But I can see now
You were ruling my mind
You ain't all dat
Or a little bit more
So I'm saying goodbye
And I'm slamming my door!!!

The Older Ones vs
The Younger Ones
by Lucinda
The older
ones stared
into the faceless night
while the younger ones got
into fight after fight
The older ones cried
that it was not fair
while the younger ones snickered
at their share
The older ones sniffled
at their misery
while the younger ones poured
over love poems with glee
The generations came
and went in this way
the younger they were
the older they'd stay.

The Worst Night of
My Life
by Lucinda
The eerie
light pierced through the doorway,
sending a shiver down my spine.
It felt like I had been pricked with needles,
making me paralysed,
making me unable to speak.
The light ate away more and more,
Eating up the darkness, eating up the room.
A ghostly figure emerged through the door,
shimmering and shaking in the silvery light.
It talked in an unheard language,
saying "Follow me or be tortured into a fatal slumber."
So I unwilling accepted.
We walked through the doorway,
the light showing the way.
The night was cold
the trees hovered over,
their arms reaching, ready to engulf me.
The ghostly figure swung an axe
I closed my eyes, knowing I'd die.
I re-opened them for one last glimpse of life
and realised I was in my room.
It was a nightmare.

The Giant Who Ate
and Ate and Ate
by Lucinda
There once
was a giant as big as the sky,
who ate and ate and ate.
His mother baked him an apple pie,
which he ate and ate and ate.
He said "That was yummy, my oh my."
after he ate and ate and ate.
He asked his mother for more pie,
which he ate and ate and ate.
He got a tummy ache saying, "I will deny
I ate and ate and ate."
For the giant wanted some more pie,
which he ate and ate and ate.

The Lonely Heather
by Lucinda
The trees
whispered and chattered together.
They laughed and shouted and hailed the sky.
But a wail came from the lonely heather,
for he could only give a cry.
He wanted a friend with whom to share
his feelings of deep despair.
