Cleavant Derricks. . .Rembrant Brown, a.k.a The Crying Man

Remembrant Brown is a washed up soul singer (he earned himself the nickname the Crying Man because he could cry real tears while singing). He became a slider due to a malfunction in the timer (he drove into the vortex by accident).

Remmy (as the sliders call him) had often considered staying on worlds:

eg. on one world he was married to a girl he knew in high school and had a crush on. His double (the real Rembrant on that world) had gone missing or had died (I can't remember which) so he wanted to stay.

Another time his singing career was still at it's peak and he would of stayed if the real Rembrant (who had faked his own death to get out of show-biz) showed up (probably because Remmy was getting $1 000 000 a song).
