"Gone, Travelled, and Back Again"

For those who occasionally visit my page (and "keep forgetting" to sign my guestbook), I have to deeply apologize for the lack of updates in the past, oh...2-3 months. It is probably obvious to you that the simple fact is my daily life has become quite busy, to the point that I have very little time in my day to spend online. Aside from work, university, band practice, volunteer work, editor of a community newspaper, and a girlfriend (she's 'last' because I don't consider spending time with her as keeping me busy in a bad way), I'm sure you can imagine how little "free time" I have. I honestly wish I could have the time to update my site, work on my fanfic, and just be active on the various mailing lists I am currently on, but 'real life waits for no one.'

This is perhaps not the greatest of "updates" to my page, but so far it’s the best I can do. For those of you who care to know, I have not really worked on my latest incomplete work, "View from the Outside" but I constantly have the urge to. As any writer will tell you, when a story is burning to get out, it truly begins to bug you until its on paper. I do hope I am able to finish it soon, since fanfic is the main aspect of this site in the first place.

As for the other sections, like "Starfleet Academy Papers" I may remove that page in the near future because I simply have not had the time to update it. Essentially, that page was going to house some of my research papers I had written over the years at UBC. Of course, I was hesitant to do it at first because of how easy it could be for someone to simply "cut and paste" my work into theirs, and perhaps that underlying fear was what kept me from working on it. Now that time has become scarce, it will not become a fixed aspect of this site.

I must also apologize for those of you who view my page with 640x480 resolution. I was also going to make a less graphic intensive, and simpler page for you, but in the end, as you may have guessed, I haven't had the time to make the page. About the only suggestion I can make is for you to open up the content page from each section in a new browser and get it all without the graphics (which are framed in to the page). To get the content, simply right click on the content and click "Open in New Window."

What is personally disappointing is the fact that I wasn't able to keep up with my personal logs regarding current events. So much has happened in the past few months, its incredible. Everything from the end of the bombing of Kosovo to the death of JFK Jr., to the heightened tensions between China and Taiwan, just to name a few.

I hope you will understand the cause of the current state of this webpage and accept my deepest apologies.
