"...A teen comedy so clever,
 funny and unpretentious
that it's a blast for older
 audiences, too"
--Sixty Second Preview

Blonde, bouncy Buffy (Kristy Swanson) is your typical high school cheerleader--her goal is to "marry Christian Slater and die" and nothing gets in her way when it's time to shop. But all that changes when a strange man (Donald Sutherland) informs her she's been chosen by fate to kill vampires. With the help of a romantic regel (Luke Perry), Buffy is soon spending school nights protecting L.A. from Lothos, the Vampire King (Rutger Hauer), his sidekick, Lefty (Paul Reubens) and their determined gang of bloodsuckers. It's everything you'd expect from a teen queen in the Valley.

If you think the only similarity between BtVS the movie and BtVS the television series is the main character, than you are wrong. Seth Green, BtVS the series' Oz, was the only character to have a role, albeit small, in the movie. "I was cut out of the film, but I'm still on the back of the video box," says Seth.

"I was awful in it, and I really hope the footage never surfaces, because in retrospect I realize how bad I was in it. At the time, I was very excited. You see me really early on as sort of a geeky guy that Sasha (Jenson, who plays Grueller) kind of makes fun of in passing, like knocks books out of my hands or something like that....And then he is walking through the woods toward the merry-go-round. "The way in goes in the movie now, Sasha says, 'I'm going to turn around, and when I do, you are not going to be there.' When he does, it is Paul Ruebens on the merry-go-round. There are five minutes of that, where he turns around and I'm standing there and I have the face of a vampire, and I call him by name, and he says, 'What are you doing here?' and he comes over and I just start laughing, and he picks me up. He lifts me up threateningly, gripping my collar, and he lets me go and I stay floating in the air. I start laughing like crazy, and I grab him and I bite him. "It was terrible. For some reason, I told them I had a thirty-two-inch waist, so the harness they gave me was five sizes too big. I just look like I'm wearing a diaper...It was impressive," Seth concludes.
