Season 4
The return of James Marsters as Spike has been confirmed. Juliet Landau will not be returning to BtVS, however.
Anya will continue to be a recurring character as will Buffy's mom, Joyce.
Mark Blucas has been cast as Riley Finn, a new love interest for Buffy. They will meet in their Psych class.
"This coming year, Buffy will be going to college, (U.C. Sunnydale). I can't give away too much but I can tell you she'll be adjusting to a new school, a new roommate, fraternities, the college workload, plus...well lets just say that any college located near the Hellmouth has got to be unusual. It's going to be a lot of fun. My first episode will air in early November, and I think thats about the time you'll see just how weird the Sunnydale campus is and why. It'll be kind of X-Filesy, with a little James Bond thrown in, but also totally Buffy."
