Arlington High School Guidance Office, Lagrangeville, NY (September 2002 - June 2004): I assisted the receptionists with organizing papers, and addressing envelopes, delivered passes to classrooms where students who needed to go to the office, and organized mass mailings sent by the office.
Irish- American Heritage Museum, East Durham / Albany, NY (May 2005 - August 2005): I organized Presidential biographies, updated them, offered some guidance towards the layout of the exhibit, and supplied biographies of First Ladies. An article outlining my duties is here.
Blockbuster Video, Route 44, Poughkeepsie, NY / Pleasant Valley, NY (May 31, 2006 - August 10, 2006): I was a cashier who occasionally worked on the "floor", selling store promotions to customers and helping them find desired films. As a cashier, I had to make sure I gave exact change, and I had to be courteous to the customer, and remind them of the due dates on their DVD rentals.
Pandini's Sub Connection, Siena College, Loudonville, NY (September 2006 - October 2006): I prepared pizzas and sandwiches for customers, and operated a cash register.
Siena College Office of Disabilities, Siena College, Loudonville, NY (January 2007 - May 2007): I photocopied my notes that I took for my Political Research class for a disabled student.
New York State Legislature, State Street, Albany, NY (January 2007 - May 2007): I interned for three credit hours towards graduation in Assemblyman Mark JF Schroeder’s office, receiving a course grade of an A. I assisted the office staff in whatever capabilities they needed served, filed memorandum of proposed bills in legislature, constituent mail, and other paperwork.
