Mall

If you're searching for any books or videos in relation to your favorite screen stars, look no further. My mall has a lot of advantages over the mall you usually go to when looking for vintage goodies:

Amazon.com has not only books and videos that are rare and inexpensive, but they have CDs, tapes, LaserDiscs, and DVDs, too. If you haven't tried it out yet, then here's your chance.

Reel.com also has a great selection of videos and DVDs at good prices. They have great selections on many stars from past and present. Again, the prices are lower than an average store. Click here to see the covers of some of the videos they have with Douglas Fairbanks, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Mary Pickford, Clara Bow, and Eleanor Boardman.

If you're into music, then CDnow is the best place to get CDs by your favorite artists. Of course, as an old movie fan, you'll probably be interested in vintage soundtracks and classic star recordings. CDnow has it all, so check them out.

Do you want to look as glamourous as your favorite screen divas? The Hollywood Collection has copies of the earrings, bracelets, and rings of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Bette Davis, Ginger Rogers, Barbara Stanwyk, Vivien Leigh, Claudette Colbert, Paulette Goddard, Norma Shearer, Ingrid Bergman, Natalie Wood, Lana Turner, Veronica Lake, Rita Hayworth, Joan Fontaine, Betty Grable, Deborah Kerr, Jean Harlow, Carole Lombard, Marlene Dietrich, Irene Dunne, and Maureen O'Hara. I'm not too sure about the quality of the jewelry, but the photos show that it's fairly good stuff, and the prices seem reasonable. Oh yeah, and to all the guys out there who feel down that there's nothing for them-they carry one of Humphery Bogart's rings, too.

If you're ever cruising in my own hometown, Boston, stop by the Nostalia Factory. But if you can't get there, order from their website.

Ebay Auctions has got to be the best way of attaining your favorite vintage goodies. It's easy and quick to sign up, and then you can look up your favorite star or movie and scroll down for pictures, posters, tapes, and more. You can also sell your own things through Ebay. Amazon.com also has auctions, but Ebay still seems like the best deal in town because the selection is better.

The MovieCard Website is perfect for getting those great, vintage cigarette cards with movie star pictures on them. The cards are high quality and look great (though different brands of cards have different star renditions).

Radio Spirits has a large selection of radio shows with the greatest singing, film, and radio stars from the 30's through the 50's. I've bought some of their tapes before and intend on buying more. They're inexpensive (seven bucks a pop for their regular radio shows) and just a little more for the more special shows. They also offer big collections which vary in price, but waiver around forty dollars, and if you join their club, you save between a few cents and a few dollars on each purchase. If this doesn't sound great to you, then...

Jerry's Vintage Radio Logs might be a better choice! Great selection, and there are CDs as well as tapes. It looks pretty good, so check it out.

Kino Video seems overpriced, but they have very high quality films. Make sure that you check out the new Clara Bow releases!

Past Perfect is awesome. Digitally remastered CDs of the best vintage goodies, from swing to Sinatra, and more. A few sound clips, too. Hey, if you'd rather have some scratchy record, then you don't have to drop by here (OK, OK, the static adds to the nostalgia).

Radio Memories Catalogs is another great place to get your favorite old radio shows on tape.
