WILL AND GRACE
Season 2, Episode 1
As he closes the door, he stares at the number, 9A, where the A is a little crooked. He fixes it, smiles, then turns to go to his apartment. It happens to be about five feet away.
In the morning, Will drinks his coffee and Grace comes in, tired and cranky, and pours herself a cup. "We ARE living apart, right?" Will asks. Soon enough, Jack makes an entrance (and what an entrance it is!); as Grace is leaving, Karen is at the door as well.
Here, Will addresses Jack and Rosario's marriage. Rosario is Karen's maid, and last season, they married so that Rosario could stay in the country. Will mentioned that Jack and "Rosie" might start actually acting like they're married.
Memorable scene: Will naked on his couch, reading. Grace walks in to get some yogurt, not even acknowledging his nakedness. She walks out. Suddenly, she comes back in. Ah, finally. But no, she got the wrong flavor. Finally, Will has had enough. He storms into Grace's apartment (with a pillow) and reminds Grace that they are living apart now. Grace retorts with a lot of "naked" jokes, but the bottom line, as Will states, is that she can't do anything without him. She disagrees, saying that she is having a dinner party the next night, and that he is not invited.
The next night, Grace has set up a little "picnic" area, where she has planned the dinner (she doesn't have furniture yet). Karen is the first "guest" to arrive, and she immediately aims to get drunk. Next, Will and Grace's friends (reoccurring characters) come, asking where Will is. Grace explains impatiently that he hasn't been invited.
As the night goes on, it is obvious that Grace's little party has gone astray. Will and Grace's friends are scared, and Karen keeps making drunken jokes. On the other hand, Will has been getting ready for a date. When the date calls to say he will be late, Will panics. Jack is no help, and Will seems to need Grace again. He walks in on Grace's "party" and is promptly told to go away.
Finally, on the same night, Will orders pizza and as he is standing outside his door, Grace comes out of her apartment with the trash. They apologize, Grace takes a slice of pizza, and all is well. Grace begins to sympathize with Will and his loss date, but then the date comes to the door, to get the pizza. Grace is suddenly interested and Will has to close the door the door on her to get her away (but promises he will tell her all the details over breakfast).
As Grace walks past her apartment, she stares at the numbers, and fixes the crooked A.
