    Did you know that there were originally words to this music?
Well, there are.  The reason that they weren't used in the show? Frankly: they stunk.
A small sample:

    Also,   a record number of character "replacements" went on during the run of the show, including the switch from Dick York to Dick Sargent and the change of  Gladys'.  Another astonishing record was the first ever sitcom to replace the star of the show with an imcompetent replacement.  For the record, here is a list of the main cast:
