I'd just like to mention a great source for movie info at the Internet Movie Database at imdb.com. You can find practically every movie ever made and also information of tv shows, tv movies, etc.
.
Speaking of movies, Disney is probably out of fresh ideas and among the animated features in the future, they include Tarzan, Fantasia 2000, Toy Story 2, and Treasure Planet (an updated remake of Treasure Island.) They are practically all sequels or remakes, which is all Disney seems to be good at making these days. You can find vague, if any, information on these upcoming films at disney.com.
Click here to go to a list of Disney's upcoming animated movies.
I think that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer shouldn't have let themselves be bought out to Turner..... Gone are the days of elaborate musicals and dance sequences, in with the dirty, junky R-rated movies. How depressing. I bet Gene Kelly would've quit. Heck, they don't even have stuff like that on their entire web site (at www.mgm.com)!
Since "DREAMWORKS SKG" is new and fresh (information available at Dreamworks.com) and "DISNEY" is old and has outlived its freshness, I believe that eventually Dreamworks will be its successor, although Disney will fight to its last days of life. (Although I thought that 1998's A Bug's Life was much better than Antz, even though they were practically completely different.
AFI has released its list of "100 Years, 100 Movies."
Visit the list here. Just for the record,
the ranking spans the years from 1896 to 1996.
