Kate (vo): Twelve is our number. It's the number of games my husband, Tom, coaches at Lincoln College every season. It's the number of times we zero out our bank account each year to make ends meet and it's the number of kids we try to keep track of.
Kate (vo): Twelve is an insane number of kids, but having a small family was never an option for us. See, Tom loved growing up with 7 brothers and sisters and after my sister died, I spent most of my time...wishing I had 7 brothers and sisters. Tom and I meet at Illinois Polytechnic University. He was a senior dreaming of becoming the head football coach there. I was a freshman dreaming of becoming a sports reporter. He wanted 8 kids and I wanted 8 kids. Bam. An hour after I met him, I knew he was the one. We just had family at the wedding.
Tom: You were checking me out weren't you?
Kate: Yes, I was. Do you have a problem with that?
Tom: 12 kids later and we still got the heat.
Shake: We're having adult time here boys.
Twin: No idea what that means.
Charlie: Did I mention I don't like you very much?
Tom: Yeah, you mentioned that.
Charlie: Then I'm good.
Charlie: Are you trying to bribe me?
Tom: Is it working?
Charlie: Little bit.
Tina: So is Jake you're only child?
Kate: Ah ha. No. We have 12.
Tom: Couldn't keep her off me.
Nora: They were welcoming you into the family.
Hank: They set me on fire.
Tom: You soaked his underwear in meat. That is so wrong. Funny, but wrong.
Tom: You have a dark gift, Sarah Baker.
Tom: Pasta de la crouch.
Kate: After the sixth one, they kind of just walked out.
Jake: Without you we wouldn't be the 12 Bakers anymore. We'd be like... 11.
