~*~ Paradise ~*~

Willard: Hey, where are you going this summer, Clay?
Clay: I'm going to our summer house in Colorado. Where are you going?
Willard: Africa.

Willard's mom: Wake up Willard. We're here.
Willard: Where?
Willard's mom: Paradise.

Willard: This is it?
Willard's mom: This is it and that's that.

Sally: I'm getting married.
Ben: You're kidding. To who?
Sally: I don't know. I just thought of it this morning.

Ben: They changed a lot.
Willard: For the better?
Ben: No, for the worst. If you're lucky, your visit will be a short one.

Lily: Remember all those afternoon's we spent at the Bellqueen Diner? Smoking your uncle Tony's cigarettes? Having fantasies about Danny Spellman?
Willard's mom: Oh my God! Danny Spellman. I can't believe how in love with him we were.
Lily: Yeah, I know. Well, we couldn't help it. He was the only criminal we knew.

Ben: Still here, huh?
Willard: What are you doing here?
Ben: Nothing exciting.
Willard: Told my mother what you said. She said to stay away from you.
Ben: Smart woman. I think you're going to have a problem with that.
Willard: What do you mean?
Ben: I live here. Ben Reed. Don't look so depressed. I'm hardly ever here.

Willard: *about the door* It's stuck.
Ben: I know. That's why I opened it.

Ben: There's more to life than being comfort.
Willard: Like what?
Ben: Living.

Willard: How come you always do that?
Ben: What?
Willard: Make everything so hard.
Ben: That's a good question. A very good question.

Ben: What are you listening to?
Willard: Rap.
Ben: Rap.
Willard: Yeah. My English teacher thinks it's a highly important form of modern poetry. It details the comman man's struggle for survival in a hostile environment.

Willard: What kind of fish do you catch?
Ben: What kind of boat is this?
Willard: A shrimp...boat.

Ben: Every hour you spend fishing adds a year to your life.

Sally: Oh God, how can I explain it? It's not his looks. You know, I can live with that. I don't even mind his breath all that much?
Lily: His breath?
Sally: He has advanced gingivitis. I can't put my finger on that bugs me about him. It's not on the surface. It's like deep down inside of him. Sometimes... when I see him walk across the room, just te site of him makes my flesh crawl. Haven't you been telling me for years I've been throwing myself away on the wrong guy?
Lily: Yeah.
Sally: Well, isn't it obvious? I mean, if I spent my whole life falling in love with dreams that made my life miserable then it goes to follow that a guy that I can't stand will make me happy.

Sally: I am sick of romance, Lily. What I want now is security. And that means giving up the sexual fireworks then that's what I'll have to do.

Willard to Lily: Ben thinks you're beautiful.

Willard: She'll know when she has a baby.
Billie: She won't have a baby. She'll get cursed instead.
Willard: Cursed? What do you mean cursed?
Billie: Every month women get this curse put on them. I don't know who does it, but once they get the curse then they don't have a baby.

Billie to Willard: You're my best friend.

Willard: Don't you love Ben anymore?
Lily: What a question to ask, Willard.
