ABOUT ADAM |
2000 |
There's a very straight line running from the Irish comedy of Oscar Wilde, to the Irish comedy of "About Adam." This film is hilarious in a way that only the Irish can be hilarious. Adam appears mysteriously into the lives of a Dublin family, and proceeds to seduce four members of the same family, without arrousing any suspicion about his wickedly sinful behavior. Strangely enough, as he says, he's "only giving to each one what they want." He is so charming, that you forgive him for what he's done. Ironically, the viewer has also been seduced! |
