A gentle little film, in the form of a fable, about a retarded young man(Christian Bale,) his evil, rich stepfather (Daniel Benzali,) and the animal-loving hermit(John Hurt) who takes him in, when he runs away from home. Although the settings, in Glastonbury, England(Camelot country) are spectacularly beautiful and filmed in a dreamlike way, don't spend any money to either see this movie in a theater, or to rent it. If it's on free TV, and you have absolutely nothing else to do, see it...you'll enjoy it!
