ALONG CAME A SPIDER |
2001 |
Based upon James Patterson's novel by the same title, ALONG CAME A SPIDER continues the story of detective Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman) who must now hunt down a man whose intent is to pull off the crime of the century. Cross teams up with a beautiful secret service agent (Monica Potter) and together the two make for yet another awkward on-screen partnership. And down the hill we go... Touted on the commercials as having a surprise ending, the ending will neither surprise nor entertain you. Granted, I won't tell you what it is, but by the time you get to it, who cares? Freeman gives his standard good performance, always being a voice of reason and clarity and Potter, in one of her largest roles to date, falls short opposite Freeman. If you don't mind all of the cliche, this one is at least a rental. |
