Steve Martin had a clever idea for a Hollywood spoof here, but the script that he wrote isn't the sum of its' parts.Some of those worthwhile parts are: a brilliantly funny performance by Eddie Murphy in a dual role...his best since "The Nutty Profesor;" two good comic turns by the Broadway and TV veteran, Christine Baranski and usually-terrible Heather Graham; and a few funny and witty scenes... that's it! The rest is silly, and often boring. Pre-teens will love it; those at my showing howled at everything!!!
