THE BROKEN HEARTS CLUB |
2000 |
Here's a film about six gay men in California, in which no one has AIDS (or even talks about it) and where the main character is not the confidante of someone played by Madonna, Julia Roberts, or Jennifer Aniston. What it is, is a very funny (often hilarious) film about universal relationships, and how they form, and come apart. At times, the film gives the impression that all gay men are clever, and speak in nothing but funny one-liners. But, I'm quibbling. The movie is sweet, gentle, and filled with laughs. You don't have to be gay to enjoy it! |
