Robert Altman's hilarious and biting satire of life among the mindless, wealthy "women-who-live-and-shop" in Dallas. Altman must really hate this city and these people. Excellent performances by all of the women (Helen Hunt, Laura Dern, Farrah Fawcett, Shelly Long, Kate Hudson, Tara Reid, Liv Tyler, and Janine Turner.) What surprised ME however, was the truly fine performance that Altman managed to get out of one of Hollywood's worst actors, Richard Gere. It's subtle, genuine, caring, and self-deprecating...everything that Gere isn't!
