LA BÛCHE is a French Christmas comedy about a family simultaneously coming apart and coming together as the secrets they've held for years all are all aired out. Now, you have to keep in mind that this is a FRENCH Christmas movie, so you're not really going to get a lot of happy holiday cheer. Rather, you get a funeral, marital infidelity, cell phones, smoking in hospitals, and more marital infidelity. A fine ensemble of what I understand to be France's finest actors and actresses give very good performances. If you enjoy foreign films and have the time, I'd say go.
