LIFE AS A HOUSE |
2001 |
When George Monroe loses his job and discovers that he is dying of cancer (talk about your bad day), he decides to rebuild a few things... his relationships with his ex-wife and his teenage son and his oceanside home. Despite some bizarre subplots tangled in there, LIFE delivers an emotional punch that I haven't felt from a film in awhile. An excellent (dare I say Oscar-worthy?) performance from Kevin Kline is nicely complemented by a strong performance from Anakin Sky... er, Hayden Christensen (get used to that, kid). If you're up for a tearjerker, this one shouldn't be missed. |
