The makers of this movie are asking us to accept Janet Jackson as an intelligent college professor. That's the most hilarious concept in a film this year! It's much less of a stretch to accept Eddie Murphy as 6 fat people...he does it so well, thanks in large part to the incredible make-up/padding/prosthetics of Oscar-winner Rick Baker. In fact, when Murphy IS depicting one or more of the Klumps, the film is very funny, and even moving, in his portrayal of Sherman and Sherman's mama. But in between, the movie is stupid, boring, and senseless...someone simply forgot to write a story. If you can accept a giant computer-generated hamster farting out shit pellets from its butt, then this film is for you!
