RED PLANET |
2000 |
SSDT. Same sh--, different title. A group of astronauts get stranded on Mars and its a race against time and the elements to get them home. This time it's Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, and a scantily clad Carrie Anne Moss. Oh, and an evil robot that likes to do this cheesy martial arts stance before attacking. But what makes this film stand apart from all its predecessors is... absolutely nothing. It's boring and redundant. How many times can we watch a team of men go through that whole pre-death confessional scene? The acting was blah, the special effects were blah, the story was blaaaaaaah. A big climatic scene is at the very end when, just before finally escaping, Kilmer gives the planet the finger and says "F--- this planet." Very clever. How about f--- this movie. |
