SOMEONE LIKE YOU |

Oh, what would life be like without bad romantic comedies? Ashley Judd meets Greg Kinnear, falls in love and then watches him leave her to go back to his long-term girlfriend. Instead of just accepting it, she creates a theory about how man are like cows and can not be monogamous... or something like that. What a big surprise when her womanizing roommate (Hugh Jackman) turns out to be the man she ends up with. Fine performanes from Kinnear, Judd, and Ellen Barkin (who looks absolutely terrible) and a few funny moments save this film from straight-to-video status. One bright point, though- look for new Aussie theatre star Hugh Jackman to be the next Mel Gibson. |
