WHERE THE MONEY IS |
2000 |
Paul Newman is a bank robber past his prime who agrees to help a young couple (Linda Fiorentino and Dermot Mulroney) rob an armored car. I really enjoyed this movie because its a simple, good old fashioned heist flick. Newman and Fiorentino are great and there is great chemistry between them. Unfortunately, there isn't too much to say except that if you're interested in a quick, fun movie, I think you'll like this one. |

Although there's a lot to be said for retiring early, Paul Newman manages to make old age look attractive, because he seems to be having lots of fun. I can certainly empathize with that! In this film, he's both an aged stroke victim, and a daring robber. He plays both parts convincingly. Aided and abetted beautifully by Linda Fiorentino and Dermot Mulroney, he makes you take sides with the criminals, so that you're hoping that they get away with their well-planned heist. The film doesn't move along as quickly as it should, but it's still lots of fun. Do they get away with the robbery? Go see the movie. |
