On the way back in the cab, all Howie could think of was why she
never told him that she had a boyfriend.
"How could she keep something like that from me? I thought that she liked me"
He thought.
"Is this it?" The cab driver asked as he pulled up to the hotel.
"Yeah this is it. Thanks" Howie handed him the money and went into the
hotel only to find Kevin in the bar looking at the counter in a daze.
"Hey buddy, what are you doing here?" Howie asked as he walked over and
sat next to him.
"Just having a drink, what about you?" Kevin moaned taking another sip.
"I just had a bad experience at a club. Dawn was there"
"And..." Kevin trailed, not bothering to look up "Isn't that a good thing?"
"...And so was her boyfriend! " Howie then added.
"Ouch, that’s gotta hurt. Well at least your girlfriend didn't break up with
you after you planned a romantic dinner for her" Kevin said wallowing in self pitty then
asking for another drink.
"I'll drink to that!"
Kevin and Howie spent awhile at the bar drowning out their sorrows with a
couple of drinks.
**The Next Morning**
Brian woke up more confused than ever.
‘Why didn't Becca understand that I don't feel that way about her anymore and just
move on with her life? It's only going to complicate things with Eli if Becca comes to
surprise me again.’
All he knew was that he didn't love Becca anymore- he cared for Felicity. He
wouldn't let anything stand in their way!
Just as he was about to get in the shower, there was a knock at the door.
"Who is it?"
"Its me, Nick. Can I come in?"
"Hold on a sec" Brian said as he unlocked the door.
"You’re not ready yet? We gotta get going, dude. We're leaving for the tour
in a couple of hours."
"I know." Brian sighed "I was just going to take a shower when
someone interrupted me!"
"Sorry" Nick laughed "Go. Go take your little shower. I'll be downstairs
getting some food with the guys"
"Okay, I'll meet you down there in a little bit"
"Aight, see ya later Frack!" And with that, Nick turned and headed out the
door. Once he was gone, Brian quickly jumped in the shower. He couldn't wait... in a
few hours he would see Eli again and the prospect couldn't have made him happier.
**In The Lobby**
"Where's Brian?" AJ asked as he saw only Nick get out of the elevator.
"He's taking a shower. He'll be down in a little bit"
"Is it me or is he slower than usual today? He's never this late"
Kevin pointed out as they all went to the dinning hall.
"He's got a lot on his mind right now" AJ told everyone.
He knew exactly why he was late getting up and getting to breakfast- It had to do
with Becca showing up at the club last night. He was going to let Brian tell everyone
though. That was his business.
**20 Minutes Later**
Brian got his shoes on and was about to head downstairs when he
heard the phone ring. He went over and picked it up.
"Hello?" Brian answered.
"Brian, its me"
"ELI!! I'm so glad to hear your voice! I miss you sooo much!!"
Brian chimmed into the phone. He was so happy to hear from her again.
"Me too Brian. Pretty soon we will be together for months!! Every day,
together" then, pretending to loose enthusiasm, I continued
"I'm not sure if I can take that much Brian in my life I'll have to think about it... "
Then paused. I could almost feel Brian’s heart leap.
"Okay thought about it. Of course I can!!" I giggled.
I missed him so much and I was just dying to see him again.
The two talked for a long time as Brian the thought of breakfast had
complete slipt Brian's mind.
**Same Time**
"Where is he? He's gotta get some food before we leave" Nick said as
they finished breakfast and started to head up to their rooms to get packed.
Just as they got out of the elevator, Brian came out of his room.
"Where have you been? You missed breakfast?" Nick asked. Missing a meal
was always dangerous in his bok "I've been worried all morning!"
"Nick, chill. You should like an old maid! I was about to leave when the
phone rang. It was Eli, so I ended up talking to her and so forgot about breakfast. I'm
sorry."
"Its okay Bri, we understand. We gotta get ready to go. The plane leaves in 2
hours!"
Informed Kevin before heading to his room. The rest of the guys did the same.
After having spoken to Eli, Brian had now become all worked up about
going on tour again. It was going to be the best tour ever! His only concern now was if
Becca decided to drop by for yet abother surprise visit.
