Blondies
2 c all purpose flour
1-1/2 t double acting baking powder
1/4 t salt
1-1/4 stick unsalted butter, softened
2 c light brown sugar
2 lge eggs
2 t vanilla
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
3/4 c walnuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream together butter and brown sugar, with electric mixer and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, and stir in vanilla. Add flour mix, and stir in chocolate and nuts. Pour into floured pan and bake in the middle of oven for 30 - 35 minutes, or until it pulls away slightly from sides of pan. Do toothpick test. Let cool completely before cutting.
