Double Fudge Brownies
1-1/2 c flour, unsifted
1/2 t salt
1-1/2 c sugar
2 c semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c nuts, chopped
1/2 t baking soda
2/3 c butter
1/4 c water
2 t vanilla
4 eggs
Preheat oven to 325. In small bowl combine flour, soda and salt; set aside. In small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and water; bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and vanilla; stir until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Transfer to large bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into greased 13X9X2" pan. Bake for 50 minutes. Cool. Cut into 2" squares. Makes 2 dozen.
