Marinated Cucumber Salad


1/4   c     cider vinegar
3     T     sugar
2     T     water
1           seedless, european cucumber,
thinly sliced
1     small white onion, thinly sliced
3     c     torn leaf lettuce
pinch of salt


In a mixing bowl, combine vinegar, sugar, water and salt. Add cucumbers and onions, marinate for 30 minutes. Add lettuce, toss and serve.
